How To Avoid Burnout So You Can Change The World with Penny Locaso
In this episode, we kick off with a year-end recap and delve into the exciting changes expected in 2024. Get ready for candid and open conversations as we aim to uncover a deeper truth, enhancing both individual and collective potential to propel humanity forward and bring about positive change.
Now, let's dive into today's conversation topic - how to prevent burnout. It's especially relevant for the season we find ourselves in, perhaps the first time all year you've had a chance to pause and ask yourself these questions:
Have you been operating in robot mode?
Do you feel like you're merely existing rather than truly living?
Are you struggling to set boundaries, finding yourself buried under a never-ending to-do list?
You're not alone. Many women and men invest all their energy in trying to be perfect and pleasing others, only to end up drained, overwhelmed, and feeling like they're not giving their best to anyone. And when that happens, it's almost impossible to experience a connection to purpose.
Today, we're talking to Penny Locaso for the second time on the podcast. Why? Because as her journey has evolved, so has her wisdom. In our previous chat, we unpacked her book 'Hacking Happiness' and explored the Art of Intentional Adaptability. However, more recently, true to her word, Penny has pivoted her work to support busy women in preventing burnout and sparking joy, allowing them to feel alive and present in life again.
To give you a brief overview, Penny is an incredible coach, TEDx and professional speaker, an author, a faculty member at Singularity University, and a yoga teacher. She is currently completing her studies in psychology and is also studying with the renowned Dr. Gabor Maté in Trauma Therapy.
